ThinkPad Advanced Mini-Dock - port replicator Reviews

Compact size, DVI out, comes with it's own power adaptor, extra USB ports
None so far

The main reason I bought this port replicator is to connect to my 21" Samsung LCD through the DVI port. It has been working great. There are four USB ports on the dock, which allow me to plug in my mouse, external keyboard, as well as my laser printer. It's one of the best docking station out there.

Has DVI, 4 USB ports, NIC, Modem port and bunch of other useful ports.Easy to detach from base
nothing

I bought the IBM thinkpad to use this docking station. I think this is the best docking station on the market. It has everything that I need which includes DVI and 4 USB ports. All my devices are plugged into the docking station including the external keyboard, mouse, and LCD monitor.

Works with T61P, provides DVI PORT!, extra USB
None

I've been using this dock for the past few weeks, and I really like it. It allows for the machine to be locked into the dock, and the Kensington lock port on the dock allows the whole thing to be secured. One of my favorite features is the DVI port, but the convenience of having additional expansion and ease of use allows for my laptop to be both a portable workstation and a desktop. I highly recommend this dock to anyone that owns a machine compatible with it.

DVI-D out and many more USB ports.
Must turn key to dock or undock.

This unit isn't bad. It just worked (with Linux) on my T60p. I really like that it has a lot of extra USB ports and most importantly a DVI-D port. By itself the T60p does not have a DVI-D port (just HD15 VGA), so the dock allows you to digitally attach a monitor for the crispest display possible. I would have preferred to not have to use the key to dock and undock it. I also think that adding the ThinkPad Adjustable Notebook Stand to the mix would help bring the screen closer and to eye level better... http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/ThinkPad_Adjustable_Notebook_Stand
